Tokyo Disneyland opened on 15 April 1983 in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, and was the first Disney park built outside the United States. It belongs to the Tokyo Disney Resort and is owned by the Oriental Land Company, which licenses the Disney characters and stories. The park has seven themed lands: World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland. Big Thunder Mountain is a mine train roller coaster, and Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is a dark ride in Fantasyland.
