Disney's Animal Kingdom opened on 22 April 1998 at Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, on 580 acres, then the largest theme park in the world. Its lands include Oasis, Discovery Island, Africa, Asia and Pandora, The World of Avatar. Expedition Everest, a Vekoma steel coaster from 2006, runs both forwards and backwards and has a Yeti figure. It was the tallest attraction at Walt Disney World when it opened. Na'vi River Journey is a dark boat ride in Pandora.
