What Ridden keeps on your device, why, and for how long.
Ridden shows no cookie banner, and that is not an oversight. We only use what the site needs to work: no tracking, no advertising. Visitor statistics are counted without cookies and without keeping anything that can be traced to you. For functional cookies and statistics like these the law requires that we tell you about them, on this page, not that we ask permission.
Remembers whether you read the site in English or Dutch, so you don't have to pick again every visit.
Keeps you signed in. Only set if you have an account and sign in.
Not cookies, but still kept on your device. None of it is ever sent to us — it stays in your browser.
Whether you want the site light or dark.
Stops us fetching your profile picture again and again within one visit.
A few parts of the site are served by others. They set no cookies, but they do see your IP address — unavoidably, because your browser fetches those files straight from them.
Everything above can be cleared from your browser settings, under site data for ridden.app. You will be signed out and your language and theme go back to the default. The site keeps working.
The moment anything arrives that does set cookies or follows you across sites, the picture changes: consent up front becomes required and a choice screen appears. This page will be updated before anything like that goes live.
