Ridden is a logbook for theme park fans. These are the rules when you have an account, post something, or take a subscription. Plain language, no fine print.
Ridden is a registered trade name of Lars van de Donk, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) in the Netherlands. That is also the party you enter into an agreement with when you subscribe. Payments are handled by Stripe; your statement shows RIDDEN.
An account is free and personal. Your username is visible to others; what else you share is up to you via your privacy settings. When you sign up we ask your birth year, once, to protect younger riders automatically. If you are under 16, some settings stay off until a parent approves them by email, and you cannot take a subscription. A parent has to do that from their own account. You are responsible for what happens with your account. Keep your password to yourself; two-factor authentication is ready in your profile.
A subscription is a contribution to Ridden's costs, with a few extras as thanks. The rules:
Reviews, photos, memories and video links remain yours. You allow Ridden to show them on the site and in shared cards for as long as you keep them up. Private content (memories, photos set to private) is shown to nobody else. Only post what is yours or what you are allowed to share, and keep it about the ride or park it belongs to. We review public photos and videos before or after they become visible and may hide them without discussion if they do not fit. Delete your account and we delete what you posted.
With the Creator plan you can put channel links on your profile and link one YouTube video per ride. That video is about that ride, not a park day or a top 10; we judge that. Your videos and channel links are visible for as long as you are a Creator and return once you are again. The verified badge is granted by hand, by us, and can be withdrawn. It is not part of the plan and not for sale.
Only check in rides you actually rode; live check-ins are verified on location. No fake accounts, no automated use or scraping of the site, no content that is hurtful or unlawful. Report anything that is off via the report button; we will look at it.
Ridden is a small project and grows while you use it. We do our best to keep the site up but do not guarantee it, and features may change. Park and ride data partly comes from public sources and may contain errors; always check opening hours and prices with the park itself.
You use Ridden as it is. We are not liable for damage from using the site, from incorrect park information or from other users' content, except where the law does not allow that to be excluded. Should we be liable after all, it is limited to what you paid in subscription fees in the preceding twelve months.
You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile; that also deletes your data and ends a running subscription at the end of the paid period. We may close an account when these terms are breached, with an explanation, unless it concerns abuse.
Dutch law applies to these terms. If we cannot work something out together, the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the rights you have as a consumer in your own country.
About these terms, a payment or your subscription, reach us through the contact form.
If these terms change in a way that matters to you, you will read it here and by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Ridden after that, the new terms apply.
