The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure at Chessington World of Adventures takes four-person boats through the deep dark wood of Julia Donaldson's story. Riders follow the mouse past the fox, snake and owl to the real Gruffalo, with physical sets, projections, screens and smoke. A small drop comes about two thirds through the six-minute ride. It opened in 2017 in the layout and boats of the former Bubbleworks.
