The Haunted Mansion at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg is a classic dark ride that opened on 30 June 1973, designed by Joel Styer and Rick Davis. Pretzel cars take about three and a half minutes to pass a library, a kitchen with an oven monster, a glow-in-the-dark skull room, an attic with jumping hands, a dungeon with an electric chair and a graveyard. The park built it as a comeback after Hurricane Agnes in 1972.
