Balder

Balder opened in 2003 to mark Liseberg's 80th anniversary. Built by Intamin with prefabricated wooden track, it runs 1,070 metres at up to 90 km/h, with a steepest drop of 70 degrees and a top height of 36 metres. The layout is known for its airtime, and a major international poll voted it the best wooden coaster in 2003 and 2005. Balder was closed for most of 2022 for a refurbishment and reopened in October 2022.
