Le Bayou des Chikapas is a boat ride at Mer de Sable in Ermenonville, a dark ride through jungle scenes full of animated animal puppets. Around a hundred plush animals fill the scenes, moved like marionettes by wires that run to motors in the ceiling. It began in 1990 as a walk-through, and in the second year boats designed and built by the park itself were added.
