Rutschebanen is the wooden coaster at Tivoli Gardens, built in 1914 by Valdemar Lebech and still running today. Riders sit in a sit-down train on 720 metres of track, about 12 metres high, reaching roughly 50 km/h. A brakeman controls the speed on the descents. It ranks among the oldest wooden coasters still in operation anywhere in the world.
