Big Thunder Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland is a steel mine train coaster that opened in 1987. Walt Disney Imagineering designed it and Vekoma built it. The story follows a gold rush mining town in the American Southwest and a mountain that turns dangerous. Trains dive through caves and tunnels, and the last stretch is a 180 degree turn before a drop out of a tunnel past the geyser scene. The ride lasts about three minutes and needs a minimum height of 102 cm.
