Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure in June 2010. Riders sit on enchanted benches held by a KUKA robotic arm, which swings them past real sets, animatronics and wraparound projection screens. The four-minute story runs through Hogwarts Castle, the Sorting Hat, Dumbledore's welcome, Hagrid, a Hungarian Horntail, Aragog in the Forbidden Forest, the Whomping Willow, a Quidditch match and Dementors. Riders must be at least 122 cm.
