Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened in 2019 in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. One continuous story of about 18 minutes moves riders through motion-simulator scenes, trackless ride vehicles that pass a hangar bay with towering First Order AT-AT walkers, and an escape sequence on a concealed drop tower.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened at Disneyland in January 2020, in the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land on the planet Batuu. The story runs between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Riders are captured by the First Order and escape a Star Destroyer in prisoner transport units piloted by reprogrammed droids. The roughly eighteen minute experience mixes walkthrough rooms, motion simulators, a trackless dark ride and a drop, with 65 Audio-Animatronics figures. Riders must be 102 cm tall.
