Oceaneering Entertainment Systems: rollercoasters and rides

Jumanji - The Adventure opened at Gardaland in April 2022 as the world's first ride based on the Jumanji film franchise. A preshow themed as an archaeological dig sets the scene, then multi-motion off-road vehicles from Oceaneering carry riders through jungle scenery in twelve scenes. Along the way a huge Stone Giant animatronic, whose head alone stands over six metres high, blocks the path while riders try to return a sacred jewel to its temple.

Transformers: The Ride 3D opened at Universal Studios Florida in June 2013. Motion-platform vehicles follow 610 metres of track past thirteen 3D HD screens, as the Autobots protect the AllSpark from the Decepticons. The ride lasts about four and a half minutes, and riders must be at least 102 cm.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure in 1999. Riders are Daily Bugle reporters covering the Sinister Syndicate's theft of the Statue of Liberty with an anti-gravity cannon. Motion-based vehicles carry them through a Manhattan alley, a warehouse and the sewers, with 13 large projection screens, 12 of them in 3D, plus fog, fire, wind and water effects. The ride lasts about five minutes, with a 102 cm height minimum.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong is a trackless dark ride built by Oceaneering and designed by Universal Creative, opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure in 2016. Safari trucks carry 72 riders on an expedition through a temple, a base camp, a swamp with giant invertebrates, a jungle with dinosaurs and a spider pit, backed by 3D projection. It ends with a meeting with a Kong animatronic. The ride lasts about six minutes.

Avengers: Battle of Ultron is a motion-based 3D dark ride in the Marvel zone of IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai, opened in 2016. Riders play S.H.I.E.L.D. trainees who help Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America and the Hulk stop Ultron. The vehicles come from Oceaneering Entertainment Systems, and video, audio and effects are synchronised to them, ending on a custom curved screen.

Forbidden Territory in the Lost Valley zone of IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai is a dinosaur expedition dark ride from Oceaneering that opened in 2016. Riders climb into a steampunk jeep that pitches, rolls and heaves, and volunteer to find hypacrosaurus eggs before a volcano erupts. Along the way they meet prehistoric crocodiles, a chasing T. rex and a giant spider, among more than 40 animatronics, and the ride ends with a fight between two huge dinosaurs on a curved media screen.
