All 3 rides built by Pretzel Amusement Ride: height, speed, inversions and ratings from riders who have been on them.
Hawnted House at Camden Park in Huntington is a Pretzel Amusement Ride Company dark ride from 1961, one of only a handful of Pretzel rides left in the United States. Two riders share a car that takes tight, wild-mouse-style turns fast enough that an attendant has to brake it by hand at the end. Inside are horror paintings and models, refreshed by artist Chuck Burnham with classic haunted house props and psychedelic colours.
Spook-A-Rama at Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park on Coney Island is a Pretzel Amusement Ride Company ghost ride from 1955. Riders sit alone in barrel-like cars and travel a compact U-shaped route with sharp little curves, lasting about 45 seconds. Skeletons rise from a crypt, two giant rats lurk nearby, and air cannons trigger a photo of each rider. The original ride ran over ten minutes, and Scarefactory renovated what remains before the 2013 season.
Laffland at Sylvan Beach Amusement Park is a classic ghost train that opened in 1954, built by Pretzel. It runs inside a relocated bathhouse building and still has most of its effects from 1954. A hill and drop of about 1.5 metres was added at one point but removed after a year. The ride takes about one minute.
