About Galactica

Galactica is the flying coaster in Forbidden Valley at Alton Towers. Bolliger & Mabillard built it as their first flying coaster, and it opened in 2002 as Air before taking the name Galactica in 2016. Over 840 m of track the trains reach 75 km/h, run through two inversions and pull up to 3.5 g, in a ride of about 1 minute 40. The virtual reality headsets used at first are gone. Minimum height is 140 cm.
