Rita is an Intamin Accelerator Coaster at Alton Towers. A hydraulic launch takes the train from 0 to 98 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and the track then climbs to 18 m over about 650 m. It opened in 2005 with a drag racing theme as Rita: Queen of Speed, and became simply Rita in 2010 when the surrounding area was redone as the Dark Forest. Riders must be between 140 and 195 cm tall.
