It's a Small World at Magic Kingdom opened in October 1971, the year the park itself opened. Boats float through rooms of children dolls from around the world while the Sherman brothers' song plays throughout. More than 600 costumed Audio-Animatronic figures were in place at opening. The Florida version is smaller than Disneyland's and lacks that ride's elaborate facade. Since opening it has gained extra dolls, such as Chinese dolls in the 1990s, and a new entrance and sound system in 2004 and 2005.
